Why Global Warming is really Global Quickening

Dear Everyone,

I think we need to rebrand Climate Change.
It’s too easy to misconstrue because what is changing?
It’s too vague because what is climate.
And, it sounds like it won’t affect us for a long time.

I think we need to start calling it Global Quickening.
Because that’s what it is. We are speeding up the climate, and when things speed up they generate heat. That’s why the earth is getting warmer. We’re all moving too fast.
Global Quickening is just more concise.

Move slow and fix stuff should be the motto of the next century.
We’ve moved quickly and broken things for long enough.
Why don’t we take a break and start fixing what we have.
Give the earth a chance to cool off.
I don’t know. It just seems like she needs a break.

Doesn’t she look like she could use a break?

Global quickening is why we have 100 year droughts every 5 years.
Global quickening is why every new fire seems to break all records.
Global quickening is why abnormal weather events are happening increasingly frequent.

And it sounds kinda funny. Quickening.
Just a thought.

Better explained in a video.

Sincerely,
Jefferson.
